Inspired by conversations with a wide range of people, IHOPEIWILL draws from their personal views on family dynamics and relationships across generations. How do we envision the future, not only for ourselves but also for coming generations? What kind of world do we wish for them, and what can we do to fulfill those wishes?
IHOPEIWILL is an event that brings together physical performance, sound design, and visual installation. Each medium functions independently while simultaneously interacting in synergy, forming a cohesive and organic whole.
IHOPEIWILL explores our shared future amidst ongoing political tensions and escalating climate challenges. Despite the prevailing global atmosphere of fear and great uncertainty, the work conveys a sense of hope and proposes an artistic reflection of our responsibility towards future generations.
Biography:
threeiscompany formed by Soňa Ferienčíková, Mária Júdová Tichá and Alexandra Timpau is an interdisciplinary female collective with a strong interest in blurring the boundaries between different artistic fields. In a creative exchange at the crossroads of disciplines –dance, visual arts, architecture, sound design –, the trio focuses on current topics related to the social context they inhabit.
Jaro Viňarský is a renowned dancer, choreographer, and performer. In recent years, his work has increasingly focused on the social dimension of art. He experiments with immersion and interaction, inviting audiences to participate actively in his creative process. He aims to integrate art and creativity into daily life as a natural source of mental and physical well-being.
Notes:
Workshop based on the work IHOPEIWILL led by Soňa Ferienčíková and Jaro Viňarský, Participants will explore concepts such as connection, resistance, weight transfer, spatial awareness, and working with the body’s center.
